Bulloch and Motion Pay to deliver unified Chinese Payment solutions to Canadian Petroleum and Convenience Retailers

Motion Pay announces the partnership with UnionPay International to offer UnionPay QR code payments across Canada.

May 13, 2019, Ottawa – To kick-off its week for the Payments Canada Summit 2019, Motion Pay Technology Inc. (Motion Pay), the leading cross-border mobile payment solution provider in Canada, announces that it has reached a partnership with UnionPay International, and that it’s launching the rollout of UnionPay QR code payments across Canada. With the acceptance of UnionPay QR code payments, Motion Pay adds to its fully integrated mobile payments business offer in supporting Canadian businesses to attract more Chinese consumers with their preferred payment options.

New payment system for Chinese tourists in P.E.I.

Island businesses and the provincial government are developing new strategies to meet the demand of more Chinese visitors.

The province is also encouraging tourism operators to add Motion Pay, which allows Chinese customers to make purchases with their mobile devices. “There’s a real focus and need to have convenience for the Chinese customer so we wanted to take action on that,” said Kevin Mouflier, the CEO for Tourism Industry Association of PEI (TIAPEI).

New Payment System Available at Golf Courses for Chinese Customers

The provincial government is encouraging Prince Edward Island tourism operators to add Motion Pay to their electronic payment offerings for Chinese clientele.
