Chinese can now access their Alipay and WeChat Pay accounts in Canada. Payments are done via Motion Pay Technology Inc.’s fully-integrated and secure platform, which converts the RMB funds to Canadian dollars.

This new initiative means that EasyPark is the first parking company in British Colombia to offer this Motion Pay service. It has introduced the new payment service at its attended sites in Vancouver. The company has always been a leader in using technology to make parking more convenient for its customers. In 2011, EasyPark launched the first parking app for the Apple and Android markets. Two years later, the EasyPark FlexPass made its debut, allowing people who only drive occasionally to park at a discount instead of the regular hourly rate.

“Chinese tourists, business people and residents are a growing presence in Vancouver and B.C. and, as motorists, they are seeking our simpler, straightforward parking solutions,” says EasyPark Chief Executive Officer Nigel Bullers. “Motion Pay adds another highly-convenient payment service for many of them.”
